Safe test data from real CSV files
Developers and data teams often need realistic data to test with, or to hand to an AI tool, but real customer records cannot leave the building. Sanipage turns a real CSV export into test data on your Mac.
Realistic fakes, not blanks
- Names become other realistic names, and titles such as Mr or Dr stay
- Emails become addresses at example.com, so nothing is ever sent to a real person
- Phone numbers keep their kind and length, postcodes keep their shape
- Addresses, towns, companies and references are replaced, and dates of birth are moved by a few months
- Amounts, IDs and every column you leave alone stay exactly as they were
The same customer, the same fake
A real value always gets the same fake value, in every file of the project. A customer in your orders export matches the same customer in your accounts export, so joins between tables still work. The fakes come from a secret key kept on your Mac, so nobody can work back from a fake to the real person.
You choose the columns once
Sanipage guesses what each column holds from its heading and its values. The first file waits so you can check the guesses. After that, files with the same columns go straight through. A real name or email found in a notes column is replaced too, and the finished file is read back and held if anything real is left.
Private by design
Everything happens on your Mac. No file, name or value is ever sent to us. The fakes are for good: nothing is restored.
How to start
Create a project in Sanipage and tick Test data. Drop a CSV file into its Input folder, check the column types on the file card, and collect the file with fake values on the other side.
